October 11 2011

Wow! Can't believe it is almost mid-October and fall is flying by. The weather has finally gotten cool and I have so enjoyed the change in the seasons. I have probably burned everyone out on soups and chili. The leaves are beginning to change--something I love every year. Z has changed over to day-shift and I am so enjoying him home in the evenings and relieved to have the extra help. M is well adjusted to pre-school and loving every minute of it. S had finally gotten adjusted to her new school and made some sweet friends there. E and S are both playing fall ball. We go from softball to baseball and juggle games and practices. Thank goodness the fields are close to our house. S is loving softball and really learning a lot this season. E is liking baseball along with every other sport that exists. M is enjoying watching on the sidelines but has decided that she will play softball in the spring instead of soccer. I am enjoying running and trying to be more consistent with my runs than I have in the past. Nate has been my running companion which has given me some motivation to run (a calm dog and an in-shape mama!). I accompanied S on her first field trip to Etowah Indian Mounds. We had a good time and I got to know some mamas in her class. We have enjoyed almost perfect weather the last couple weeks and I am savoring those days, I know cold weather is coming quickly. Thankful to be settled into school, ball games and, enjoying the outdoors--even if it is for just a season.
