Spring is Here!!!

Although it is a little cool and rainy today, it is the end of March and spring is officially here. I have really tried hard not to complain about the long cold winter we have had. Now warmer days are here and finally we can get outside and enjoy the weather. E moved right from basketball into baseball. S is enjoying gymnastics and socializing at E's games. M is playing outside and enjoying walks in the neighborhood. Nate is getting huge, he already weights more than M. We are staying outdoors and enjoying the weather. I am so ready to go camping I can't stand it. Working and schedules seem to get in the way, hoping to get a trip planned soon.

Basketball

E loved playing Upward Basketball this winter. Having only watched basketball and never played I was really surprised at how quickly he caught on. He seemed to be a natural at dribbling with the ball and even made a few baskets during the games. (okay I am his mom, I guess I can be a little biased) He loved the games and we really had a fun time watching him play. I will try and post some more pictures later, I haven't figured out how to get pictures off Z's IPHONE. Now on to baseball!

Hello, Goodbye February

February has come and gone and not a single blog post. What happened to February? It got swallowed up by business. We did basketball, coached basketball, gymnastics, school, church, baseball etc, etc. Not to mention the everyday things like work, house cleaning, chores etc. Thankfully after a very cold December and January the weather has warmed up and we had some beautiful weekends in February. Definitely too nice to be inside blogging. So spring fever has set in and I am ready for gardening and camping. I think that may have been just a tease. I am sure we are in for some cold weather.

The last week of February the kids had a winter break. I usually do not welcome this winter break because I would rather be off when it is warm enough to be outside. This winter we had a great opportunity to go with Zach's parents and Tully and Lauren to Walt Disney World. We had not been in years--M went as an infant and was way too small to remember it and E was two and I dont think he remembered it either. The kids were the perfect age to go. We had very few meltdowwns and lots of adults to shuffle the kids between. It truly was a magical time, great memories and a great time spent with family. The weather was in the 80's, the kids even got to go swimming!
