Adoption Update
Not much news from us concerning our adoption. We are number 52 on our agencies wait list and our update for October was that we have not moved. Trying not to be too discouraged, we could gain lots of ground in the upcoming months. We know we have been called to adoption, we have said yes and done everything in our power to make it happen. Now we have to wait on God's timing!
Welcome Baby Yount!
Eli Parker Yount made his entrance on Wednesday Sept 26, 2012. He is beautiful and precious!! My kiddos are so excited. Cannot wait to get to know this little man and watch him grow up!!
Miahs first field trip
Wednesday I got to go with M on her first big girl field trip! Quite an experience! We took 65 kiddos to Stevi B's, Publix and the Fire Station. I love this age and the excitement the kids have for life!!!! Sweet memories!!!
Special Blessings
I was so blessed to get to spend last weekend with "my GBCN girls". We have been friends now over 18 years. We have done life together. I could write pages about our friendship and what we have all been through, but no one would understand or appreciate it except these ladies in this picture. God truly put us all together. These women have and will forever be my lifetime support group! I think we all feel the same! No, we don't get to see each other everyday or meet for coffee once a week, but our bond as women of faith is stronger than a bond of close proximity. In some ways we are very different and in other ways we are very much alike. We all have different journeys and walks we are called to, but we all have mutual respect for each other and the journey he has put each of us own. We are not to conform and condemn each other for different decisions and and pathways each of us has chosen, we are to love and support each other, exactly where we are. I just cannot put into words my love for each of these women. God has given us a love for each other as sisters in Christ and I think the older we get the stronger that love is for each other. Ladies, I am so thankful to have each of you in my life. Your friendship is truly a gift from God.
Slow but Steady
For as long as I can remember, even before it was popular, I have aspired to be a runner. Now that I think about it, I guess it started with our running program in Middle School. Oh how I wanted to be a "top 10 runner". My 8th grade year I squeaked into the last spot on the girls "top 10 runners list" a proud moment in my middle school career!!! All that said, I have been running off and on since middle school. I use the term runner very loosely. Maybe I should just say that I attempt to run from time to time...I am in no way built like a runner or have the endurance and athletic ability of a runner, but I so want to be a runner!!!! My running progress is slow go. If I don't work at it weekly, I lose ground and have to almost start at day 1 with my training. Gaining any distance takes lots and lots of work, only to lose ground when I don't run for a week or so. My goal this year is to complete a 10K. I have done lots of 5Ks but have been stuck at a 3-4 mile max. I finally did 5 miles on the treadmill at the gym the other day and it felt great.
There are so many parallels to running and and just life in general. Running is hard, running takes discipline, running well means keeping on when you just don't feel like it. Just like in life, there is no better feeling to setting a goal and achieving the goal. We just have to get through all the hard work and discipline to stay the course. So here are to my running goals and my life/mama/nurse/wife goals. Just a reminder to "just keeping running" it will be so worth it in the end!!!

Miah's Birthday Party
This was Miah's first ever "
friend" party. She had been asking for one all year. She wanted the theme to be Lala Loopsy. Mama had to get creative to keep us within budget! I got all the kids involved with the decorations and except for the cake drama the night before the party, things went pretty smooth! We could not have ask for more perfect weather. Great day spent with special friends, fond memories made : )
Happy Birthday Miah!!!
Cannot believe my baby is already 6. Wow! Where did those 6 years go. While I was busy juggling 3 kids, activites and craziness, M has been busy growing and changing. M you are such a blessing to my life. You are becoming such a sweet young lady. I am so thankful for your kind, compassionate heart. Even at your young you have a love for God and desire to please Him. Somehow mixed in with all that mercy and love, you have this sparkling bright personality that lights up the whole room. Can't wait to see what plans God has for your life. Don't ever lose that quiet and confident spirit that you possess. M, I love you so much!!!!
