The church the building team worked on in KY
Entrance to one of the coal mines in the area
Wow, I cannot believe it is already almost time for school to start back. I love the summers home with the kids and am always sad to see it come to an end. We have been on the go this summer which has left little time for blogging. Not to mention my house has been upside down having new floors put in. An ongoing saga for another blog. Where to even start.... the beach trip in the camper. The camping trip at the lake. A visit to see the college girls and all our kids. And then to finish off with our mission trip to KY. Throw in VBS, swim team, swim meets and mama's work schedule and that leaves little time for anything else. We have had little down time this summer, and with M starting pre-K and kids at two different schools--I think mornings in PJs with a cup of coffee are a thing of the past. I am a little sad when I think of that, but we are moving to a different phase in life and I am determined to enjoy each moment as it comes. S is starting a new school this year. This has been quite a difficult decision for both she and I. She has truly thrived at the school she had been attending but a door was opened for her to attend a charter school in the county. I think in the long run, I am making the best decision for her and the other kiddos--but these first couple months of school may be difficult. Esp since E will still be attending her former school. I am still hoping he gets accepted to her school soon, so we can focus and be totally involved in one school for the kids. I guess only time will tell...
The family is back for our mission trip to KY. It was a tiring, whirlwind trip, but I am very glad I got to go and to be a part of the work God is doing in that area. I am in much prayer for the kids at the sports camp that became believers last week and also the celebrate recovery team and the work they accomplished there. I am praying that the building the men worked on will be completed soon and bible study can begin at the church there. I am looking forward to returning to KY in the near future. Hope to post some pictures of our trip soon. Just realized I washed my memory card.....
