The Season Part 3

Wow! I am so behind on blogging about the Christmas season. It is actually Christmas Day, the kids are in bed after a long day filled with spending time with family, opening presents, and most importantly celebrating our Savior's birth. "The season" is far from over, we still have 2 families left to celebrate with and a nice long drive to South Carolina. Christmas Eve we hosted the annual Weathington Family Christmas party. It was quite in adventure getting ready for the event. Zach finished the foyer!!! Yeah I finally have my house back in order, and cleaned the house--I unexpectedly got called into work 4 hours before people were supposed to be at our house. Oh well!! It worked out okay, I only had to work for 2 hours and then was back home to help finish the cleaning. Our house was full!!!! I think that is how houses are meant to be. With 9 kids and 13 adults, we shared lots of laughter, meat on the grill (thanks guys for cooking in the nasty weather) and played a combination of white elephant/dirty Santa game. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. It was amazing that our kids are finally getting big enough to entertain themselves and let the adults spend a nice evening together. Thanks everyone for driving out to the other side of the county. We had a great time!

Back up a couple of days and the kids finally finished school with all of their Christmas Parties and celebrations! I had to work on the day of all of their parties. I was really sad at first, but it actually turned out okay. Zach went with E and Lauren went with S. Sometimes you just have to be okay with not being at EVERYTHING and know that life will go on!!! This will just make the parties and special events I do get to attend all the better!!!! Thankful to have a job I love, (a lot more than some people can say) even if I do have to miss a Christmas party or two.

I have lots of Christmas pictures to post and will get even more in the next coming days!!! Finally glad the day is here, so we can get a little rest. All the work is done and now time to enjoy being with family and celebrating the birth of our Savior!!!
