Hibernation?

I must have been a bear in a former life. As much as I love garden, my yard, and being outdoors, I absolutely hate, hate, hate cold weather. I always say that as soon as Christmas is over I am ready for spring. I love sunny, 80 degree weather and being outside in my yard. As I look from my warm kitchen widow, I see my brown yard, leafless trees and empty planters. The thermometer on my kitchen counter says 39 degrees. I am a long way from my 80 degree, sunny day. In response to this cold, I find myself "hibernating" in my house. The thoughts of staying home in my warm sweat suit and fuzzy socks is very appealing. I constantly send Z to the store, quite willing to stay home with the kids. My van sits in the garage (oh did I mention how thankful I am to have a garage, it makes cold winter mornings bearable) only making necessary trips to the grocery store and a few places we must go. I must say, I am glad I am a GA girl. If we had too many days like this I might become a hermit who never goes out of the house. So for now, I will continue my hibernation, watch the weather and my thermometer and hopefully we will have some warmer weather and I will once again, be able to join society without fear of freezing!!!!

Me too! All of the bundling up and chill bumps just make me want summer more!
