What a Mess!

Do you ever feel like "Chief Mess Cleaner Upper"? I am not sure if that is the right term or spelling, but that is definitely what I have felt like this week. Some weeks run smoother than others, this week is one of the "others". (and it is only Tuesday). Just this morning I have cleaned up crayons twice. Just a disclaimer, small slivers of crayon do not vacuum up well. An "accident" from both E and the dog. Then we had the marker incident. M wrote all over herself with a marker and before I could confiscate it she had written on my pants (just bought 2 days ago). As I was in the kitchen trying without success to get marker out of my pants, M was busy in the bathtub, soaking the whole bathroom. Oh and not to forget the cat food that is now all over the garage, and cereal spilt all other the kitchen floor. That too was just this morning. The morning would definitely not be complete without the usual spilt drink. This was from a sippy cup that is not exactly leak proof. It is so much fun cleaning up a little dot trail of whatever drink happens to be in the sippy cup. Yes it has definitely been a mess cleaning up morning. And that does not even count the near messes that I stopped before they came to be. I do not think my house will survive the preschool years. Maybe the basic structure, but definitely not the carpet or the walls. When I reflect back on mornings like this I understand why I seem to get "nothing" done in my house. Just keeping the walls from caving in seems like an accomplishment!! Oh! and by the way, if you call this afternoon, I will not be answering the phone. I will be eating bon bons with my feet propped up. You know, what all we moms do when it looks like we have done "nothing" in the house all day.

Okay, I feel much better now, I just had to vent!!!!

Have a great week!!! I hope this makes you smile when you are being "Chief Mess Cleaner Upper" at your house.

I feel like that sometimes! All you can do is damage control, oh well! They will all grow up and then we will be twiddling our thumbs and wishing we had something to do!
